The ankle length was perfect for walking around the deck without tripping over the hem. It kept its shape all night and didn't wrinkle nearly as much as I thought it would with this kind of material. I bought this for a charity gala. The one-shoulder style is super cute and elegant. It was a little snug around my hips, but honestly not too bad once I got used to it. The fabric has a nice shine without looking cheap. Overall pretty happy with my purchase.
